HCFA Employee Spotlight
Meet Nicole!
For the past six years, Nicole has been a dedicated member of the HCFA team, serving as a Fire Communications Dispatcher, then was recently promoted to Supervisor. Whether she's helping callers through some of the most difficult moments of their lives or mentoring the next generation of dispatchers, Nicole brings professionalism, compassion, and leadership to every shift.
"What keeps me in 911 is knowing that the work matters, even when the outcome is uncertain," Nicole says. "With every call, the community is relying on us to provide professionalism, compassion, and guidance during a difficult moment." As a supervisor, she finds purpose in coaching dispatchers through challenging situations, helping new employees build confidence, and fostering a supportive environment where everyone can perform at their best. She also values the teamwork within the communications center, noting that her incredible peers are a big part of what makes the job so rewarding.
Nicole's commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. In 2024, she was honored as HCFA's Dispatcher of the Year and earned her Excellence in Dispatch Certification, recognizing both her dedication to the profession and the high standard of service she provides to the community.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys making the most of every opportunity for adventure. From snowboarding and line dancing to concerts, movies, and exploring new restaurants, she's always looking for new experiences. She especially loves traveling and learning about different cultures. One of her favorite adventures was a trip through Europe, where she visited four countries, sampled new foods, and experienced each destination's unique traditions.
When it's time to unwind after a shift, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three pets—Archie, a mini dachshund, and two cats, Cannoli and Gelato. She also loves trying new recipes at home and catching up on her favorite TV shows. And here's a fun fact: if you look closely, you'll notice Nicole has two different eye colors—one is more blue while the other has a distinct green tone!
Thank you, Nicole, for your hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving our community.
We are proud to have you as part of the HCFA team!
